MATT BEHRENS

OWNER, OPERATOR & INSPECTOR

Matt has been in the construction industry since 2002, and worked all over the continental US. In 2005, Matt moved to Colorado and started his own construction company, where his main area of expertise was residential construction.  He also installed thermal and moisture prevention coatings for residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Matt moved back to MN in 2016, to pursue a career in home inspection, where he spent 5 years with a large multi-inspector company.

Matt is extremely passionate about home inspections and wanted to step out of the corporate inspection scene, and started Resolute Home Inspections in 2022.

In his free time, you can find him with his wife and 2 children exploring the outdoors, camping, playing games, swimming, or relaxing while watching a movie.

JOE WESTERLUND

OWNER, OPERATOR & INSPECTOR

Joe has been in the construction industry since he was in 8th grade. He started out sweeping job sites, installing door knobs, and waterproofing foundations for a local contractor. He worked fifteen years in HVAC and plumbing and maintains a Journeyworker Plumber license. Joe ran his own business as a handyperson and commercial contractor for over seven years. Joe has been a full-time home inspector since 2017 and simultaneously served for four years as the Quality Control Manager at a multi-inspector firm.

Joe's idea of fun ranges from building something to hitting a punching bag. He enjoys spending quality time with his tools in the garage and wandering aisles at a hardware store. He finds satisfaction in improving things by small margins and fixing what might be broken. He loves a hammock and a good book, a comfy couch and a good movie, and podcasts while driving. In his thirties, Joe went back to college and earned an A.A. degree for fun.

Joe lives in the northwest suburbs with his three boys and wife. His family has a dog named Ozzy Pawsbourne and they love him dearly. Joe so loves his family that he tolerates Oz even when he's barking at the moon.
