Radon Testing

Radon Testing
According to the Minnesota Department of Health, long term exposure to radon can lead to lung cancer. It is estimated that 21,000 people die each year in the U.S. from lung cancer due to radon exposure. Radon is a colorless and odorless gas that comes from the soil and can accumulate in the home. Radon gas decays into fine, radioactive particles. When inhaled, these fine particles can damage the lungs. A radon test is the only way to know how much radon is in your home. With a properly installed mitigation system, radon levels can be reduced.
We partner with a professional company that uses regularly calibrated, electronic instruments to provide timely results following the 48-hour test period. Their equipment monitors environmental conditions such as temperature, barometric pressure, humidity, and also contains a motion detector. These extra features provide data which could indicate whether improper test conditions or tampering occurred. We deliver their written report and test results in a PDF attachment.
